As we all know,there is a disease called Influenza A H1N1 spreading around the world.Luckily for us,there are no cases of Influenza A H1N1 reported in Singapore yet.Swine Flu is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza virus that regularly causes outbreaks of influenza in pigs. Swine flu viruses cause high levels of illness and low death rates in pigs. Swine influenza viruses may circulate among swine throughout the year, but most outbreaks occur during the late fall and winter months similar to outbreaks in humans.Influenza A H1N1 viruses can be directly transmitted from pigs to people and from people to pigs. Human infection with flu viruses from pigs are most likely to occur when people are in close proximity to infected pigs, such as in pig barns and livestock exhibits housing pigs at fairs. Human-to-human transmission of swine flu can also occur. This is thought to occur in the same way as seasonal flu occurs in people, which is mainly person-to-person transmission through coughing or sneezing of people infected with the influenza virus. People may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.Preventing Influenza A H1N1 is rather simple.The four key things to do that will help in preventing you from getting the H1N1 Flu or Swine Flu: 1. Wash Your Hands2. Cover Your Cough3. Don't Touch Your Face4. Stay Away from people who are sick you do get sick, stay home so you won't pass it on to anyone else.

On Earth Day, we try to recycle, reuse and reduce. Personally, I think that we should do the 3r's everyday. Earth day does not really have any affect on me because I do this all the time. I do not really think Earth Day is very important because it only reminds us to be environmentally friendly. If we are environmentally freindly all the time, then we do not need to have a Earth Day. The phrase "save the earth" basically means to do the 3r's. Actually, the 3r's are important because it helps to save resources. We can help to save the earth by using as little water as possible. That's all I will say for this week's blogging.
